Policy & Mission
What We Stand For
We are a South London club built on one idea: anyone who wants to play table tennis should be able to walk in, be welcomed, and be coached properly.

Our mission
Dulwich Table Tennis Club exists to make high-quality table tennis coaching accessible in East Dulwich and across South London. We coach complete beginners, returning players and competitive juniors in the same hall, with the same standard of attention.
Every player should leave a session knowing exactly what they worked on and what to practise next.
Our values
- Welcome first — new players are introduced, paired up and never left standing at the side.
- Real coaching — structured technical work led by qualified coaches, not supervised free play.
- Progress you can see — clear goals, honest feedback and a route from first session to competition.
- Community — a club where families, students and older players share the same tables.
Inclusion and equality
We welcome players regardless of age, sex, gender identity, race, ethnicity, religion or belief, disability, sexual orientation or background. Discrimination and harassment of any kind are not tolerated at our sessions.
If you need an adjustment to take part — equipment, pacing, accessibility or timing — tell us before your first session and we will plan for it.
Code of conduct
- Respect coaches, opponents, officials and the venue.
- Arrive on time, ready to play, and follow session instructions.
- Keep the hall safe: no loose equipment on the floor, no play outside coached areas.
- Report concerns to a coach rather than handling them at the table.
Player welfare and safeguarding
All coaches are DBS checked, first-aid trained and safeguarding certified. Junior sessions are run to a written safeguarding policy covering supervision, reporting and communication with parents.
Fair play and competition
We coach and compete within ITTF and Table Tennis England rules. Match manipulation, abuse of officials and any form of cheating end a player's involvement with the club.
Feedback and complaints
Concerns are taken seriously and handled confidentially. Raise them with your coach, or email the club directly if you would prefer to go outside the session.
